Guitarist, composer, and educator rooted in the tradition — reaching toward something new.
Micah Cadwell is a jazz guitarist and educator with over two decades of experience performing and teaching across the country. His playing draws from the bebop tradition while embracing the harmonic language of post-bop, Brazilian music, and contemporary jazz.
Based in Atlanta, Micah has performed at venues and festivals throughout the Southeast and beyond. He brings the same passion to the bandstand as he does to the lesson room — clear, direct, and deeply musical.
Working exclusively with intermediate and advanced players, Micah focuses on unlocking new harmonic and improvisational territory — tailoring each lesson to the specific goals and voice of the student.
Micah is available for live performance across a range of formats and settings — from intimate solo guitar to duo and trio configurations, adaptable to the size and character of your event.
Whether you're hosting a private dinner, a corporate gathering, a wedding reception, or a ticketed jazz performance, Micah brings a refined, professional presence and a deep repertoire drawn from the jazz tradition.
Inquiries are welcome for one-time engagements and recurring residencies. Get in touch with your event details and Micah will get back to you promptly.
